Technical FAQs

Q: What type of digital files will you accept?
A: Our system will only allow jpegs that are less than 1200 pixels. Please make sure that the image you submit has its greatest dimension set to 1200 pixels for optimal viewing. The actual dpi is less important, as long as the pixel size is 1200.

Q: My file is smaller than 1200 pixels. Is it ok to enlarge it?
A: It is not recommended that you enlarge your files. The quality of your image will suffer. It is ok, however, to make your file smaller.

Q: How do I know if the quality of my file/image is good enough for the system?
A: We always recommend that you view your image at 100% on your screen. If the clarity and quality of your image is to your liking at 100%, than it is ok to submit it. Our juror will view all files at 100%

Q: What color profile is recommended for my files?
A: For optimal viewing on screens and digital projectors
, it is best that you set your file up to be sRGB. However, it is not required. Please avoid uploading files that are CMYK.

Q: If I am selected, will you be using my low resolution image from the submission?
A:
No. Because we will need high resolution images, selected artists will have the opportunity to send us high resolution files.

Q: What else will I be uploading other than the 4 images?
A: Nothing! We no longer require a resume or statement.

Q: After submitting my image, your system changes the size of my file. Will the juror be able to view the full-size image?
A: Yes, the juror will be reviewing the exact image that you downloaded at its original size. You may still view the full size image by clicking on the “preview” image during your submission.
